A Harley biker is riding by the zoo in Washington, DC when he sees a little girl leaning into the lion's cage. Suddenly, the lion grabs her by the collar of her jacket and tries to pull her inside to slaughter her, under the eyes of her screaming parents.

The biker jumps off his Harley, runs to the cage and hits the lion square on the nose with a powerful punch. Whimpering from the pain the lion jumps back letting go of the girl, and the biker brings her to her terrified parents, who thank him endlessly. A reporter has watched the whole event. The reporter addressing the Harley rider says, 'Sir, this was the most gallant and brave thing I've seen a man do in my whole life.'

The Harley rider replies, 'Why, it was nothing, really, the lion was behind bars. I just saw this little kid in danger and acted as I felt right.

The reporter says, 'Well, I'll make sure this won't go unnoticed. I'm a journalist, you know, and tomorrow's paper will have this story on the front page... So, what do you do for a living and what political affiliation do you have?'

The biker replies, I'm a U.S. Marine and a Republican.

The journalist leaves.

The following morning the biker buys the paper to see if it indeed brings news of his actions, and reads, on the front page:

U.S. MARINE ASSAULTS AFRICAN IMMIGRANT AND STEALS HIS LUNCH.

...and THAT pretty much sums up the media's approach to the news these days...

É lamentável que ainda não tenhamos um partido de direita no Brasil. Se tivéssemos, daria para fazer um perfeito paralelo com a pátria amada: Se você for de direita ou pertencer às Forças Armadas, você sempre será o vilão (vide os episódios envolvendo o Deputado Bolsonaro (ainda tenho esperança de ter a oportunidade de votar nele) e aquela senhora petista, ocorridos em 2003 e em dezembro de 2014).

Aqui, se for de esquerda, muçulmano ou pertencer a qualquer minoria que não seja caucasiana, você sempre será a pobre vítima.

Isso certamente explica porque já estamos vivendo em pleno século XIX (19, mesmo).

NEVERTHELESS, we must take it easy because THE LONGEST NIGHT WILL HAVE AN END (não há mal que sempre dure nem bem que nunca acabe). Veja como uma grande maldade sempre pode ser substituída por uma pior ainda:

The suffering Cuban people was forced to jump from the frying pan into the fire of communism, where they have remained for the last 54 years.

Even Castro Brothers' Communist Paradise is slowly turning into a capitalist and natural society. As we learned yesterday, Raul will not wait for Fidel's passing away in order to avoid being blamed for the death of the old bastard.

May God have mercy on the poor Cuban people (slaves for more than fifty years – it is unbelievable what communists can do to a free nation like Cuba used to be, even under the rule dictator Fulgencio Batista y Zaldívar).

Fortunately the end of this horrible dictatorship is coming to an end.
